Website Facelifts

May 10th, 2007 by BarryMorris | Filed under Becoming Irresistible.

BarryMorris.com went under the knife today. It was in need of a little nip and tuck in places. I decided to dust off my surgical instruments, scrub up, don my mask, gown, and gloves and stride into the O.R. like I owned the place. As a former surgeon, it felt like home.

I thought the multipage codectomy would be a routine procedure. It was anything but routine. There was code: Lots of it. It soon became clear the patient was allergic to IE anesthesia. It was a little touch-and-go for a while. There were bleeders; times when suction couldn’t clear my view of the excess code. I don’t mind telling you; it was hell in there.

After a five hour stint in the O.R., both the patient and the surgeon were satisfied with the cosmetic and functional results. Gone were the excess deposits of HTML. The debridement of useless bits of ‘I and ‘me’ revealed a more youthful appearance and a healthier glow.

The patient is now in recovery. The prognosis is good, though I believe more procedures may be required in the near future. But such is life in the digital operating theater.

After all, Becoming Irresistible sometimes requires drastic measures. :)
