What ‘Becoming Irresistible’ is all about

April 15th, 2007 by BarryMorris | Filed under Becoming Irresistible.

What does it mean to Become Irresistible?
In a nutshell, it means that you, as a business owner, are increasingly attractive to prospects and clients requiring less effort to be expended on marketing and promotion. It’s an outcome as well as a process.

A blog post can’t do it justice, but in short, here are the elements your business will demonstrate after Becoming Irresistible:

A tightly focused target market

  • You know who it is you serve in terms of demographics, psychographics, and in some cases geographics.
  • You’re intent is to dominate one narrowly defined market rather than rying to take on the whole ’small business’ community

A detailed knowledge of their most painful problems

  • You can confidently state the single most pressing problem your target audience faces each day
  • You know what keeps them up at night; you know what they’re moving away from
  • You can easily demonstrate your detalied knowledge of these problems

The definitive solutions to those problems

  • Just as you have a detailed knowledge the problems faced by your clients, you also realize that they’re searching for solutions
  • You crafted solutions that not only solve these problems, but attract repeat business
  • Your solutions address the outcomes that your clients want most

The ability to communicate your solution to your clients on a regular basis

  • When someone asks you what it is you do, your respond with a Business Mantra that clearly identifies your target market
  • You communicate your business position with ease and effectiveness
  • When you do, people notice and ask you to tell them more about your business

A compelling online (and offline) business presentation that attracts attention

  • Your website establishes a realtionship with visitors
    • It builds credibility
    • It establishes trust
    • It doesn’t read like a brochure of your services
  • Your offline presentation is engaging and interesting
    • Again, it doesn’t sell your services
    • It offers hope and solutions to pressing challenges
    • It invites further contact from your market

If the above doesn’t describe your present state of business, then you’re working too hard for too little return. The good news is that there is a better way. I wrote a book about the process of Becoming Irresistible. If you like to learn more, click here for the info page.
